Abandoned Barn

Got out this morning in the 31* temp and wind, and got some shots of an old barn that is about 3/4 of mile from my house. I figure it'll be torn-down soon, so wanted get a pic of it before that happens.

Alot of kids today have never seen a barn or know what they are for.My granddads barn well i will not go there. This IS PG SITE.

Thanks for the comments . A lot of good memories from my granddad's farm and playing in the barn when we were kids. Probably why I like barns to this day.

Here is one of my favorite places to go enjoy a good walk with the wife. Glen Alton Farm in Giles Co. Va.
There are lots more old barns around my area, I'll try to get some pics for you all.

No problem . yep, the b&w does add that "days gone by" look to the older buildings and such. As I recall, none of the buildings on my grandftaher's farm were painted. Just the weathered wood, which I never thought about back then. They had a smoke house for curing meat in, and a two-seater outhouse that would have made great b&w shots. Unfortunately, the farm and all of the buildings are long gone.
