I am in the process of organizing my Lowe 1467 WT boat. I am extending the battery lines to move the battery mid boat and I am securing the strap there which is fine. My issue is the 6 Gal fuel tank is not an easily placed in a good permanent spot. I don't like the idea of putting straps and screws in multiple places, so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions. I sure someone has tried something that works and allows some flexibility. My reason for wanting flexibility is I am 6'2" and around 220 lbs. so depending who is with me or where my son sits in the boat I have to be able to balance the load.

Have you concidered wide velco on the bottom of the tank? Or just the use of velcro in any fasion? I can be glued to almost any suface.

I had not thought of Velcro. I did think of the rubber non slip material that you can purchase for carpet. I had read somewhere that you can use that and a couple of D-rings to secure an ice chest.
