I'm about 90% complete with my Tracker Topper 1436 mod. I took it out the other day and did not enjoy bending over every time I wanted to turn on and redirect my tiller trolling motor. A good fix seems to be a Big Foot switch or something similar (I've read where the T-H Marine switch is better???)... I plan to couple this switch with a 45 degree or vertical handle for steering. This set-up sounds like a good option with my tiller TM.

Can anyone give me any opinions or ideas here? Has it worked well for you? Also, is there a good way to make the extension handle instead of dropping $40+ on one? I saw where someone on here made one with PVC.

How do these foot switches connect? Can it be wired in up front or does it have to extend back to the battery on the NEG side? My battery is probably a good 10+ feet from the TM. I've heard the Big Foot wire is kind of short... ???

Thanks!
