I have a 2003 Tracker PT175, unexpected my bilge pump did not work my last trip out. The rocker switch on the console has a light on it to indicate it is on, but that light does not come on now. I checked the fuses and all appear to be OK. Anyone have this issue or can tell me what else to check? Does anyone have a fuse box layout as to what controls what for this year boat? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Greg

Is your light not working or is the bilge pump not working?
Might be just the light?
I'd check to see if there is 12 volts at the bilge pump, sometimes connections corrode or completely come apart.

Has to be a fuse or bad connection.
The "console"...does it have any more switches,is there 12 volts there?
If it's just a single switch, start at the battery and check for 12V,then check at your switch,if there then to the bilge pump.

My 04 PT175 has a fuse panel below the console on the side wall, check the fuse(s) there and for corrosion as well. If the boat was stored outside for most of its life, corrosion has set up somewhere, or it could be a broken wire as well. If you 03 is like my 04, it will be rough getting to the actual pump for the gas tank and stuff in the way. Not much working room in the bilge area.

Thanks for the tips everyone. The other switches at the console all work fine, just the bilge not working. I did check the fuse box, all looked good. Nothing is marked at the fusebox or battery compartment so I don't know which it would be anyway. Does anyone know what amp fuse would run the bilge pump?

Take a test light and check for power and ground at the pump connection if you can get to it. you can also check for power at the switch, if you don't have power somewhere back track it from there. Usually a test light will be all you need to track down a open or fault.
