I made a plate a bracket & add nav. light to bottom for my Golight setup today.
It just plugs in round hole & gets power where old red/green light was plugged in. However, I have a 3 pin connection on it, so spotlight has it's own power. Do not need light switch on ti use it. No extra wire dangles when plugged in & when not using it can stash it in storage compartment out of the way. Also going to install same receptical on quad so can use it on there. Light is controlled with remote. I know GoLight makes on like this the Gobee, but it does not have the candle power that this one has. only 80,000 candela.
I used Stryker HID Golight, It has 650,000 candela power & beam effective for a mile.

That looks great!

Have you looked into the power draw on that light? I'm guessing that that light pulls in excess of 6 or 7 amps, which would blow the fuse for the nav lights if they are on the same circuit.

Better to check and find out now than when you are on the lake in the dark and really need it!!

Wiring & fusing was all changed even before I install light. :D

I went to college for electronics. Since 1981, I was repair technician for tv, vcr, camcorders, vcrs, & other electronics for number of yrs. Now I own custom electronic business installing custom home & car electronics for last 15 yrs. I also taught a 3 week custom installation electronics course for a vocational school for 4-5 yrs. Have pretty good idea what's going on. :D

I kind of suspected so, I figured that if you would have had a problem that you would have known it pretty quickly. :)

I'm sure that thing will keep all of the bass flocked around your boat...

Good luck with it!

That's a neat concept, combining a spotlight with the nav lights. You ought to patent the idea before someone else makes money off it!

I wish I could take credit for it, but Go Light makes on for boat just like this. However it only has 1000 candela power for brightness. Where on I fixed up has 650,000 candela power. I had stryker light already mounted on my quad for ice fishing and did not want to buy another one. I am just going to put a marine light port plug on front of quad now so can transfer it where I need it.

Here's boat light they make. I have seen them at sporting good stores in area.
