I'm looking real strong at using Rust-oleum Professional Oil base paint for my current project and I'm wondering if anyone has used it and how they liked it. Also, is it possible to get hardener for it. Here's a link:

https://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xg1/R-202041178/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

It's a bit cheaper per gallon than the tractor paint at Tractor Supply. Can the hardener from tractor supply be used on the Rust-oleum paint?

Thanks

I've used Rustoleum Professional to paint a track car. We thinned the paint to about the consistency of milk and shot it with a HVLP gun. It came out great. If the hardener at the tractor store is designed to work with oil-based enamel I'm sure it will work with the rustoleum. If not swing by your local NAPA they should be able to get you the hardener you need.

Have you looked at Parker's Duck Boat Paint. Comes in hunter green.

I did, but price is a big consideration with the "to do" list for the boat. So I'm looking to keep paint and other such costs as low as possible while getting a decent finish.

From the response, the Rust Oleum sounds like a good choice. I'm going with it. Thanks everyone for responding, but it'll be a while before I buy, so if anyone knows a negative about the Rust Oleum, please let me know.

What is price for paint plus hardner cost?

Less than the cost of the duck boat paint when both are compared with tax and/or shipping added in. Forgot to mention, comes in gloss as well. The duck boat paint is flat.

Gonna be a while, still in the tear down stage. But am at the point planning on what to do in the stage after rear deck repairs, which is the next stage up.
