on my 1974 mirrocraft deep v, the side seam that is below the water line is caulked with some type of polyurethane. Due to age-it has developed many vertical cracks that look very minor, but due to vibration on the trailer-a small chunk popped out causing a leak. The gap that is caulked is very narrow and long around the boat perimeter. Does anyone know a practical way to remove ALL of the old sealant so it may be resealed without causing damage. I used marine epoxy to seal the two inch gap I had, so probably won't leak now. Should I worry about what may not need to be fixed unless more happens? thanks
