Picked up an 05 Yamaha 50 hp off craigslist and the guy threw in this old 15.5' Eldocraft that the motor was on when he bought it.
Having trouble finding a data plate on boat, trying to figure out if the motor is too big for the boat?

Not sure if this is the right section or not, feel free to move if not.

If the motor can go on the boat, I plan on doing a complete restoration

my modified V-hull was 16' long and 48" across the floor
and it was rated at 50hp max and it would FLY.
35-40hp would do just fine.
If you can get the 50 Yamaha up running and "reliable"
it would do good on that hull. Especially after you get
it all decked out and stuff.

good luck !!
