The upper deck is just carpet covered plywood that is held in place by bolts going through carpet and plywood and gunnels. On the motor side, I lined up the mounting holes so the same bolts that hold the deck down also hold the motor mount.
If you need to see the glove box work, follow the "Minnow Bucket" link in my signature line. Clicking on almost any picture there gives you a larger view. I made the glove box from one of the bench seats I removed. Some heavy duty tin snips, channel locks, and a rivet gun and you are in business! If the pics there don't make it clear enough, let me know just what you need to see and I will take another pic or two if they will help.
