The number assigned normally provides pertinent info concerning the actual specifications.

For example my MVT-1751 indicates Metal, V-hull, Tunnel, 17’ long & 51” wide at the base.

Your number (m45-12251-u) indicates Metal and the rest needs to be deciphered…lol

Can you post a picture of the numbers? That U May actually be a V, indicating V-Hull…but that’s just a guess.

Why are you referring to it as being 13’ long. Did you measure it? The numbers 12 could be the length.

It’s a nice looking boat, what are you planning on doing with It?

The reason I ask is those seat supports running athwartship are stressed members, and the hull needs them for structural integrity. Don’t remove them unless you have a plan.

the 3 numbers i have are the the (m45-12251-u) (F-12448) (H-8389). I plan on keeping the seats in it and maybe a small deck in the front but it will just be a small run around on the river boat or local strip pits. as for the length questioner, yes i measured from tip to transom and it was 13 foot 6 inches.

so IDNR came out today and did a inspection and came back with it being a 1965 KIRBY boat. gave me everything i need to get it registered and legal.
