I bought a 92 bass tracker and it needed some casting decks so I have been working on it for a while now got the back marine grade plywood cut out and put a water sealer on it then went to get indoor outdoor carpet glue and it says not to use on water sealed wood!! So that is the question is this glue going to work or is it not and if not what do i need to use!
Can I just use some kind of contractors adheiseve. Any help would be helpful!

Do a quick search for 'carpet glue'. it's at Lowes but I forget the Brand name and pat number off the top of my head. I need some too.

Thanks for your comments I am new to the boat thing and I just want it to be right and you guy's on hear relly seem to know what you are doing. I did a test spot of the 3m spray adhesieve last night and it is stuck hard may use this on hole thing!

I would not use it again. I used it and my decks started becoming loose after a few months, especially in extreme heat. I heard Contact cement or the 3m spray adhesive was better.

I've used that spray on stuff in the past with varying degrees of success. My suggestion is to do the search on here and get some of the brush on stuff used often with success here.

I'm redoing a 86 Bass Tracker now and even though they sprayed on the paint, they brushed on the adhesive. Carpet rotted away, but the adhesive held.

Howard that is what I got and tried a test spot over night and I could pull the small piece of carpet up with my fingers should I be able to do this or do I need to let it dry alot longer? The 3m adhesieve that i tested I left on for 1/2 hour and i could not pull it back up! I am going to try to carpet tomorrow so wish me luck. I also have some round corners to carpet and not for sure how to carpet detailed inst would be great.
