hi i am new here been lurking for awhile i have a lowes 180 1998 with a 2008 e tech my question is i would like to replace carpet. i am looking at vinyl over carpet. you guys give outstanding replies all and any suggestion would be greatly welcomed

Carpet looks nice! I guess its ok if you keep your boat in a garage out of the weather. I fish in saltwater so I need to rinse everything after a trip, carpet was a PITA! New build gets all vinyl.

About the same, carpet probably hides more sins.

I'll never have another boat with carpet again.

I have a 18 foot Lund with vinyl and love it. It is easy to clean. I have a smaller 15 foot boat that has been customized. The front is carpet. Yes it hides dirt, but the old guy in the front of the boat does not have to worry about traction. The back of the boat I just painted and put sand down while the paint was wet to add some traction. It does the job also.
