Went fishing back on June 24th in a private lake and caught my first citation. Unfortunately, the citation was not a bass, but a bowfin. The weighed in at 9.75 pounds and was just over 31 inches long. A Virginia citation for this fish is either 10lbs or 30 inches long, so I barely missed the weight, but made the length. Pretty nasty fish. We caught 4 bass, biggest one came in just under 2lbs.

good catch lived here in Hampton for three years and just this year learned of the citation process. after i caught a bigger than citation bass and released without measurements.

I forgot to mention that I caught it on a Texas rigged 10 inch Culprit worm in Junebug color. I caught my bass on the same setup.
