Correct wire size for trolling motor

I'm wiring my friends Alumicraft 15 ft. boat for a Minn-Kota 55 lb. bow mount trolling motor and will put the battery in the back of the boat. The wire length from front to back, allowing for bends, etc., will be approx. 13 ft. Will 8 ga wire be adequate? What about fuse size? Thanks!

Here's the information according to Minn Kota. I used #6 wire and a 60 amp breaker for my 55# trollong motor and have had no problems.
