I just got access to 100 acres of hunting land and a 25 acre pond. It's blackwater and full of lily pads. Forage fish are crappie and shiners mainly. The wind and cloudcover kept a topwater bite going for a while, but when the wind died, so did the topwater bite. I picked up some fish on a TT 4in swimbait (it swam fine this time #-o ), and missed some on topwater when the wind started back.

Switched to the front of the boat to get measurements on some mud to keep the slime on the bass

Yo dude, whats going on? Your on fire my friend, thats one heck of a pond =D>

Dude, you're almost making me cry. The past two days I have skunked in 30+mph wind and high water, and caught a dink bass and a bluegill. Those are some awesome fish, you know the fishing is good when a crappie eats a big swimbait. Keep it up, I would take barefoot bass over loafer bass any day =D> Oh wait, I didn't skunk on saturday, I caught an eel while fishing for cats at night

You are the man - thanks so much for posting!

Imagine what you woudl have caught if you were wearing the magic fish catching loafers - probably a Bluefin Tuna

dang you got a nice lunker hole. plus all that huntin land too, sheesh some people have all the luck =D>

i bet theres some bigger daddys in there waitin on ya
