Custom Bow Trolling Motor mount

I have a project boat ('02 14' flat bottom Jon) that I have been working on for the past few months. I'm in the southwest Florida area and love bass fishing. I built a fishing deck up forward and needed a way to mount my TM up there. I did a lot of research and took a few ideas from different people. This is what I came up with. I'm not sure of how strong its going to be. I have yet to try it out.. seems petty sturdy though. Id like to find a way to support the back end of the mount to the deck.. the TM is pretty heavy its a Minn kota 55lb transom mount. Any ideas would be great!! Thanks!

I'm thinking you better tether your motor to the boat, cause that mount is gonna break. Sorry, but just my honest opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. That's why I posted this up here to get some feed back. I actually just took it out for a test run in the river and actually believe it or not held up great. Very little play and seemed pretty solid. I didn't run it very hard (kept it in the first 3 speeds) and took it off the mount when I was running the boat to my fishing hole.. I still would like to find a way to support the back of the mount to the deck.. I need to find some kind of bracket the would work I guess.. any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
