I have not seen really quick and easy tranducer mounts so here everyone goes. Ok I bought a fish finder with out a transducer mount. So I decided to build a portable one. I did not like the suction cup ones. This one came out to be 8 bucks cheaper than buying the suction one anyways and is super strong. It totaled about 15 bucks or so including clamps

Here is what I bought:

2 packs of #10 ss washers (home depot)
1 ss 40mm bolt (HD)
1 pack of ss nylon nut (HD)
1 pack of star type locking washer (HD)
1 pack cable holder things (HD)
2 packs of ss metal screws for mount to wood (HD)
1 pack of ss metal screws for cable holder (HD)
1 screen door ram mount for wall side (HD)
1 piece of pressure treated 1x4 scrap at (HD)
2 3 in c clamps (harbor freight)

Look at the pics and you will see how it is built super easy pics are worth 1000 words

Nice setup - my problem is I want it for hi-speed use (25mph+) and I'm affraid I'm going to have to use a through-hull for my side imaging to work nicely in an aluminum boat.

I have a piece of rot free pvc board that same size but only about 5 inches tall or so mounted with two recessed bolts and sealed. I use that to screw brackets to. No matter what I will always just have two holes and mount what ever I need to that board or a different board if need be.
