Took my boat out this weekend and the electric start was AWOL on my 2008 25HP Yammy. Fished anyhow using the manual start. Started debugging the problem today and discovered the 10A fuse was blown. Anyone have any thoughts what I should check that would cause this fuse to blow? I'm going to get another fuse and that will likely fix the issue, I'm just worried about the unknown underlying issue causing more problems down the road.

Thanks for any feedback!

If you hook up your battery wrong it will blow the fuse. You don't have to try to crank it, if the wrong terminals touch the wrong battery terminals it will blow the fuse.

could be a short somewhere.my tractor had a short in the air ride seat, and every time i started it the fuse blew. the wire coating had stripped away from friction.
