fiber glass questions

Ok im new to this site but ive been on a lot . I need some quick info from people who know way more than me about this haha


I picked up a 14ft sears game fisher an when i got it i didnt think it was that big of a problem but the person who had it before me decided to "repair" it with fiber glass.

i really want to restore it an bring it back to life but theres like 4 layers of that stuff on , so i guess is there an easy way to get it off?
im def open to any ideas.

I don't know of any chemical that will touch it after it has cured. A good wire wheel gets rid of it pretty quick and if it is just patches a good heat gun will help a lot as well. One of the members here used a heat gun and a putty knife to get it off of his hull with good results.
