ok , im new to this and just picked up my first tin today. im going to take it out a couple times to make sure that there are no major leaks and to test out the motor. motor currently runs but i plan on outfitting it with new prop , paint , and a new gasket set to make sure it is completely sealed up. my plans to were to run the front two benches into one deck for fishing and run a deck from the back bench to the transom. then just leave the middle open with possibly a low deck to make a flat walking surface in the middle of the boat. then just outfit it with new winches, lights , and anchor equipment. just looking to see what everyone thinks and possibly some ideas that i havent thought of yet!

Nice little rig ya got there. Make sure to go through the mod links, as it will undoubtedly give you some inspiration for the build.

Doing a leak test as a first step, is the way to go.

Good luck, and I look forward to seeing your progress.

A great way to test/look for leaks (and to actually find those leaks) is empty the boat (except for the drain plug) and fill it full of water on the trailer and look for leaks... the only downside is you cant really catch fish in your driveway while checking for leaks....
