First trolling motor- need some help

So I finally have my project almost done and picked up a trolling motor over the weekend. I got a bow mount minn Kota 45lb thrust. Next step is how to power it I've seen a couple deep cycle ones at Walmart for around 80 what do you all think. Please give me your input

It really depends on how you will be using your TM, and how long you fish. With a size 27 Deep Cycle you can run a TM of that size a long time. I'm assuming thats the size you are looking at.

Either a 27 or 29. Is there much of a difference? And mainly going to use it for getting around a electric only lake. Other than that ill be on the river with the 1966 evinrude

walmart everstart maxx battery is pretty much the best you can get for the money...get a group 27...unless you fish ALL day, running trolling motor HARD, get the group 29...

i just bought the same thing...i got the 29...my last one gave me great results...

youre on the right track... 27 will suit you fine im sure...

Especially with that size TM you should be please with the amount of time you get outta a 27. I have a #50 PD V2 and I usually run 2 27's in parallel and those suckers last forever.
