Hey folks. I'm wanting a light for running the river in the dark. Not a spot. Boat is a War Eagle stick steer 754 VS. I'd love to see your light projects. Spots, floods, kits, weld ons, under the nose, on your poling platform, cut and welded into the bow......hell if you've lit it, post it! I'd love to see it.

I hunt a lot. And most of my running is to and from public land in the dark.

I originally went with 4 HID conversions. Super bright and worked pretty well. But, with the decrease in price and availability of LED, I ended up doing an LED light bar that is more than sufficient by itself. I still use 2 of the HID conversions on each side of the light bar, but it's probably overkill. First link is how I did my HID conversions. Second link is when I went with the LED light bar. Sorry for the picture issues, Photobucket sucks!!

I rarely run at night but I got one of these and mounted it on a large ram mount with a clamp and cigarette lighter plug.

I'm sure it's Chinese, but it works for my limited needs.

Just FYI, It's illegal to run with any light other than the red/green and anchor lights. I doubt you would ever have a problem on a river though.

I do the same with a RAM mount.

I ordered these from Amazon 12W Spot, made a simple bracket from aluminum angle and a U-bolt, then attached them to navigation light pole. They are connected by SAE plug and separate switch at console or via wireless remote. I have a 7 inch flood to mount on the bow just haven't got around to it.
