Forward Control Placement

Hi All,

I'm new to the site and appreciate your experience. I'm looking at buying a 2007 CR1648 jon boat. The curious thing is that it has the controls placed forward of the the front bench. I could only find one other boat on the net with this control placement.

Are there any issues with this setup such as harder to plane out? The boat comes with a 30 HP Johnson.

I have seen many commercial fishing boats set up like that in Florida.
crabbers and gator gitters.

It would be up to you and your personal preference to move it back if you wanted to.
