I have a Lowe 1448 with side console steering. I have a deep cycle battery in the front for my trolling motor and front depth finder. I have my starting battery in the rear that is connected to distribution posts by way of a main disconnect switch. I want to run wiring from the distribution posts to a fuse block under the console that will power the rear depth finder, nav lights, bilge, and maybe a small bubbler for the livewell. My question is: does the wiring from the distribution posts to the fuse block need to be fused or have a breaker? Thanks for the help.

Yes it does and the fuse/circuit breaker should be sized according to the size of the wire/cable. You do not want a 40A fues protecting wire that is only rated for 20A, etc.

Most FF's call for a 3amp fuse, so don't over fuse stuff.

On my new to me Bayrunner, I was not aware that the Lowrance Sonar/GPS for the power button to be pushed 3 times for it to be completely off.
So I decided to install a toggle on/off switch with with an in-line fuse.
