Future boat project

Hello I'm new to this page, and I have Been saving up for a boat that I can take to college. And this is what I want to do with a jon boat or v hull boat. Around 14-16 foot boat. Then to put a center console in with everything fish finder steering wheel and throttle. Then up front a medium casting deck. Then to put a console steering motor 25-35 I don't know if that is to much for a jon boat. I need this boat to be able to take this on a river then onto open water trolling for walleye. Open to any opinions. Thanks for reading and for your ideas.

That sounds like you have a good plan to start with. It all sounds do able. There's a wealth of information on this forum!
