I want to hook up some gauges to my outboard to keep a better eye on my motor while running some rough waters. I was wondering how to wire a tachometer and a water pressure gauge. The motor I have is a 1985 Evinrude 30 horse with electric start. I know there has to be a way to do it but before I start shelling cash for my mod, I was hoping to figure out a better estimate on my budget. I am not sure if there are exisiting connections or not but I have been reading about needing a teleflex tach wiring harness deal. If that is true how would I hook it? Also where do I tie into the water pick up line at for the water pressure gauge? Any help would be appreciated.
