Just please do what I advise and make sure you do NOT see a layer of white inside the tin skin anyway. If it is there, those are chloride ions and once in there, they are self-feeding at the precipitate level, where all that cancer must be cut out.

If needed, I do have a sheet of 5052 alloy on hand ...

I will absolutely heed your warning Dale! I will cut and grind it all out. It's going to be the last thing that I do before starting the epoxy. I have plenty of sheet goods available, but I appreciate you throwing that out there.
