Are any brands better than the other or would I be just as well to buy the submersible LED trailer lights from the local Walmart?

Type "LED" into the search field at the top of the page and you will find a plethora of information on this topic. Flounderhead has replaced all of his trailer lights and they look great! I've installed LEDs all over my boat and I know others have added some as well. Be sure to post pictures when your all finished.

I got a set from Walmart for $50, and they are awesome, but I don't remember the brand.

Check with the site sponsor, BluewaterLED - he may have something on his site or recommend what to use.

I checked if he had any in stock first, but he doesn't. Well if you've had good luck with the walmart LED's then I will just pick them up since it's convenient. Thanks

I've been using them now for 6 months, and I don't unhook my lights when I back into the water. I check them before every outing to make sure they are working, and all is still well.

I got mine from Eastern Marine. I am very pleased with their customer service and their prices aren't outragous.

This is what I used:

Here is a link to my post about them.

Mike (Bluewater) said he is going to stop carrying the tail lights. He might still have some left though.

I put them on yesterday. They seem to be quite a bit brighter than my old ones and built much better. Before I mounted them on the trailer I sprayed some liquid electrical tape around where the wires entered the housing since that looks like the only place water could enter. After that I just used some crimp terminals with waterproof heatshrink to connect the lights to the trailer wiring followed by a coat of liquid electrical tape. These lights also came with a ground wire coming directly out of the housing so now I have a direct ground to each light plus the ground coming from the plugin at the other end of the trailer. So far I'm very pleased with them.
