I am putting back together the simple WMC carburetor on a 1990s 2-stroke Mercury 15hp. There is supposed to be a little ball bearing (check ball) under a spring associated with the primer pin. Mine is either gone with the wind or it never had one. Maybe I lost it during dis-assembly, we will never know...

My question is, Is this little ball part of all the WMC carburetors? I checked schematics on marine engine and elsewhere, and this little ball is not shown.

Meanwhile I am digging around trying to find some small bearing I can take apart and use if necessary.

If anyone knows the size of this check ball and if it is present in all these carburetors and required, thanks for letting me know.

Cheers!
