Hello all thanks for the add. Stumbled across this site when I was researching a few things for my build. Recently acquired a 1981 Alumacraft 17 Backtroller. All the aluminum is there, but everything needs redone. Also came with a cox trailer. According to the registration, it hasn't seen water since the 1990s. It's a complete rebuild. My goal is to take it back to 1981 with upgraded equipment. First step was to redo the trailer, repacked bearings, painted, new wiring, led lights, new rollers and bunks. Also restored the old winch since it is so heavy duty. Next step is to get the transom back in.
