Helping i.d. my old jon boat

Have been on this site for little over a month now and love it ! i Recently got a jon boat from my dad ( i traded some flys i tied) its a 1236 the hin number came back as a Arkansas home made boat from 89 but i think someone before my dad got it told them that is was home made to get it registered to use ! so if you guys think your up to the challenge of identifying this old boat

A young guy was using my old Jon, similar to yours, and a seam cracked in the bottom.
He can't swim. But he has a wild imagination.
He took the boat to the Re-cycler on his way home from the lake.
I almost cried! That whole boat is fixable.

If I were you I'd put a deck down over the bottom so the stress of heavy boots don't crack the seams and wrinkles in the bottom.

All that said: I wish we were closer. I'd trade my V for your Flat bottom in a wink!

Looks like my 12 ft Sears boat. Its a 1973 or 74. Cant see the inside of the transom to tell for sure.

Lol I love my little Jon boat been working on it alot now its warm in Arkansas well was warm for a min. I will take a pic of the transom for you Steve

If it ever had numbers on the Bow, you can go to the State and work your way back to the original owner.

Looks like the only thing different is the brace on the transom. Mine dont have one. The rest looks the same. I am going to say it might be a newer version than mine. I looked at the title for mine and its a 72 model and has a state issued HIN. I do know it has a tag on the front of the boat with some numbers on it and thats it.

If it's 72 or newer, the numbers should be inside the transom up under the left/Port hip.
