Well a buddy told me to check this site out and it's exactly what I'm looking for so here's what I got I recently bought a 14ft double wide and deep side console with a 25hp mercury for super cheap from my buddy's dad so far I've replaced the trailer rewired the boat added a gps and radio and found a 3m rubberized spray and coated the inside and I'm going to gator glide the bottom seeing as I duck hunt the marsh a lot and I'm to cheap to go buy a gator tail haha. Here's some pictures

I'm looking to build a poling platform and a raised front deck with lights for bow fishing but getting worried about weight and stability of boat I seen that people have mounted 10in pvc to the sides of the boat but I don't want it to look to tacky if anyone has built a front deck I'd like to see pictures and an estimate cost and also poling platforms I've been told I'm crazy for wanting a platform but it's what I want for flats fishing I'm hoping the weight of the battery's and deck on front will even out the weight. Any information helps thanks guys looking forward to talking to yall

Here's some pictures of the day I got it I was kinda worried about the black coating getting to hot but I sprayed the bow just as a test to see and it was about 90 with direct sunlight and I was shocked to discover the spay was about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the bare aluminum

You are not crazy for wanting a platform if you want to pole the flats.
Nice looking boat to build off of. If you want to gator glide it, buy more than you need and prep the aluminum properly and it will turn out great.
I think your boat will be plenty stable to put a front raised deck on.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks. I'm only about 2000 into the entire boat so far including purchase I've called around on having someone build me a platform and there very proud of being able to weld aluminum I got quoted 900 just for my platform on the rear and 2000 for a front deck!! My plan is to go with a blaze orange gator glide up to the first rib on the outside with a max4 camo stripe to the top. I'm having an issue with setting the motor cause it doesn't have a power tilt if I set it all the way down to runs about 35 but if I go up one click it will take off and over rev. Even with someone on the bow I know the prop was missing an inch on each blade I just got my new one today but I'm on call for the next 72 hours so I won't get to try it again but I don't think it was the prop causing that

GatorGlide is not UV resistant from what the owner said over the phone. He recommended not applying above the water line or it may chalk out in the sun. He said the UV inhibitors would effect the slick properties of the product. I went 3" up the sides on mine.

Thanks for the info. Did it make a big difference speed wise.? Did you have them rear boxes put on your boat or did it come like that

Check out my build, it may give you some ideas. Many others on here as well to research and learn from. Lots of talented and resourceful people on here.

Yea the light bar ran me 180 and the 3m rubber spray was about 85 it took me 10 cans but I used it carelessly so I'm sure it could be done with less

Why are you using the rubber spray?

Well I was going to just paint it but I've learned my lesson painted surfaces are slick and chip easy this rubber coating was lightweight and durable plus it looks good

Sounds good, I was hoping you weren't using it to seal a leak.
