I have a manual start outboard but may get electric start down the road. It will run a 48lb thrust motorguide trolling motor which I use a lot crusing weed beds. Auto Bilge when I leave it in the water at my inlaws cottage, running lights fish finder and ac outlet. What do you think 1 or 2 batteries?
Thanks

One group 29 deep cycle, until you get electric start. Then, get a second deep cycle (can be a group 27) and run everything but the trolling motor off of it. Yes, using a trolling battery in a cranking application, even in large 6 cyl. motors (obviously not what you have, if you have pull start  ) is perfectly acceptable, and recommended in many cases.
