Fairly new member but have used this site for reference for a while.
Bought a Tracker 1542 last summer and decided to make it a little more comfy since I'll be keeping this one.
Wanted it light enough to run trotlines and such but comfortable enough to sit and crappie fish too.

Nice work! I've been tempted to do similar compartments in my 1542 but I like having the foam there for when the bad things happen. You should install a couple of bilge pumps for just in case you spring a serious leak and are not near land.

Just adding foam under the floor in this case will not be near enough floatation and will guarantee an upside down boat in the event of swamping or sinking. :(
