Johnson 6hp help find year!

Hey everyone I just bought a 6 hp johnson for $100 and it runs great I have a 1432 sears jon and I go about 12mph does this sound normal? Also how can I find the year of the motor? Thanks everyone

ok I found out its a 1975 and now i cant get the tilt to work its manual but wont move up or down please help! [-o<
