When I need a harness, I usually go on Ebay and see if I can find one for $50 or so. Lately, they are mostly around $100 +/-.

With small engines, when they overheat, it's sometimes easiest to just replace the harness when available. The overheat sensor you can replace, use liquid electrical tape, or even regular tape, if you want. It's up to you.
