Decided to fish over here, instead of Allatoona today. Launched and was fishing by 8:15. Since it had rained overnight, and was still very overcast, I wasn't expecting too much. Tried flipping and pitching the matted shoreline stuff for a while, but gave up on that fairly quickly. Once the wind started blowing, I picked this 13 inch one up on a spinnerbait.
Little further down the shoreline, I picked up this 14 inch one on a suspending jerkbait.
One guy I talked to when pulling out said it was a slow day numbers wise for him, but he did catch a fish almost 6 pounds on a weightless T-rigged worm. I kinda figured soft plastics would be the ticket today, but I am not fond at all of throwing soft plastics in the wind.
