Hello.
Thanks for letting me join TinBoats.
I've been a lover of aluminum boats since my dad squeezed one of those old bulky life jackets (that felt like your ears were being ripped off) over my head!
I have a friend and a nephew that both own Legends. Both have cracks in the hulls in front of the trailer bunk ends.
Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you remedy? Is welding the best solution?
My friend went to Legend and they won't help, even though it has a sticker since new saying 'Lifetime leak proof'.

Anytime you have a cracked hull welding is going to be the best bet for a repair that lasts. Is the crack on a seam or weld?

Why is your trailer set up putting that much pressure on the bunks?

Neither.
Just on a flat part in front of where it sits on the bunk.
Odd! Both boats cracked in the same place? Are these boats setup with a prop or a jet? Only reason I ask is because jet boats tend to make contact with rocks/logs more often because of the shallow water they are typically used in atleast around here anyway. That or its possibly a trailer issue.
