I'm not sure if this is the correct board but if it needs moved please do so.

What are the diffrent options out there for boat lighting? I am looking for lighting the inside for early morning or late evening. I rarely fish at night. I have looked at Blue Water LED's and I am thinking of going with them but also want to research my options. Also is there a specific color you all suggest or model light that works well in a jon?

I don't own the Bluewater LED's yet, but if I ever put them on....That is where I'll be buying. Not sure how much your read up on Bluewater, but you might also run a search on here for their name and see what comes up. I've seen lots of pics and videos that I'm pretty sure were on here.

You might also PM the owner, or anyone on here that has used them for any specific questions. As far as color goes....I like the looks of the blue on the decks and clear in the hatches 8)

I don't own the Bluewater's yet either but that's the road I'm planning. LED= low battery draw and I don't think you can be the pricing for some of their package deals.

LED's are by far the best option. If you don't need the full deck lighting and just want to be able to see the floor, Check out the compartment lights BlueWater offers. They are pretty compact and can be put just about anywhere. They are plenty bright enough to light up under decks, or even mount them in a couple key spots to light up your floor. He offers them for $8 a pair, and that is the best price I have found for them. Usually they are 5+ dollars a piece.

As far as color goes, green or red is the easiest on your eyes at night. Blue looks cool, but it will ruin your night vision. We got a new pre-lit Christmas tree this year, and Everyone in the house was ready to pull all the blue LEDs off the tree because they were so annoying.

We'll I bit the bullet and ordered BlueWater LEDs. I feel better about them than some Hong Kong lights, I also helped a board sponsor!

you won't be disappointed... Mike is a great guy to work with to boot - you don't find too many honest people who own a business and give you their honest opinion as opposed to those who just want to push product

I've got some to put on my boat, but all I've done with them so far is hook them up to a battery every once in a while in the garage - but it's amazing how much light even the little 3 led livewell lights put off

I'm right there with russ010.I bought some LED's from them & are they bright.I agree with the red for night,it doesn't mess with your eyes.

I got the green lights for night fishing... I've used red enough in the military to know that green was the way to go for me... but everybody's eyes are different - I would definitely go for red if green wasn't available
