I like your 1448 and it should be good runner with the 50/35 onthere.I have a 1448 to but i am selling it to my son.I now have a 1648,i hope i like it as much as the 1448 :mrgreen:

That was a sweet motor. It was a 1978 25 HP with a jet attachment. I bought the jet unit used from a guy thinking it would fit a newer 35 HP 'rude but it turned out to only fit '77, '78, and '79 25 HPs . So I found a '78 and slapped the jet on. The 25/15 was enough to get a couple adults and a dog on plane but not much more than that. I think I GPSd it at 23 MPH on the lake.

The guy that works at the marina in Billings was trying to get me to buy a 1648 instead because he said they perform better than 1448s when using a jet motor. I personally just like the idea of a short, maneuverable boat but that's just me.
