lucas oil in lower unit?

Hello to all. I was wondering if anyone uses Lucas oil stabillizer in there lower unit oil? I was thinking of using some but thought it might be to thick to blend with the other oil. Thanks,Brian.

You're worried about lucas oil being too thick, or the lower unit oil?

I don't think oil is some sort of solid state would be too thick for lower unit oil :lol:

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking it might help on wear and friction since its an older outboard. I was worried it might be to thick to mix with the gear oil.

Sounds pretty unnecessary

Change the l/u oil once a year, keep it full and keep that water out of it and you shouldn't have any problems.
