hi, im modifying my vhull and i want to get a bow foot controled trolling motor like the minnkota edge 40 but my boat doesnt have a mount for it. I have seen some of you guys with your motors and mounts and im wondering how i can make a mount for it or modify the boat somhow, so please som1 help me out on this one! And how exactly do these motor attach on?

Here's a pic of the mount I made recently for my boat. One side rests on the side rail and the lip of the bow, and the other side is supported by pieces of 2x6 that were cut to fit the angle of the deck and the bow lip. The top piece is doubled up plywood that I used for the deck. All of the wood is coated with Thompsons and has Liquid Nails on the edges. There may be better ways to do this, but I'm confident this will work for me.
