Does anybody know anything about these motors? My son just bought a boat with the mercury 18xd and the motor runs fine but will not idle and dies going to neutral from being in gear.
In the diagram it shows an idle wire "item 22" connecting to a lever assembly" item 20" near the choke but we cannot find the place on the motor where the wire connects to. If someone has any pictures of how its setup it would be of great help.
