I was honored to meet our local Motor Guru "Pappy" today at the
Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc. meet in Winter Haven, Florida.
unfortunately, we had conflicting schedules and didn't have much personal time to socialize.
But there will be other meets that will cross our paths in the future.
This was the annual meet but this one was special. 50th anniversary of the Antique Outboard Motor Club.
There were motors on display of every year and vintage imaginable. Also, many very fine original and
restored boats. Unfortunately, I changed cards in my camera and the second card was defective
or something and not one photo was saved ](*,) The weather was absolutely beautiful.
Lots of warm sunshine, mid 80s, and lots of very knowledgeable veterans that were very eager
to talk to anyone about their boats and motors.
But, I do have a couple of photos of the boats.

Hopefully, Pappy has some photos to share.
A plug for the AOMCI is https://www.aomci.org. check to see if there is a
meet in your area. It will be well worth your time to visit and it is FREE !!

My God Johnny, you almost look like your 'new' profile picture!

But I will ALWAYS think of you as that strapping young lad on the SeaBees recruiting poster!

Jim, the AOMCI schedule for 2016 is not available yet.
There are a few boat and motor shows in Central Florida
during the winter months.
Plus the antique car show at the Daytona Motor Speedway at Thanksgiving.

Just pick a time when the Pythons, Cobras and Alligators
are not active - LOL - mid winter when our temps plummet
to the mid 60s should be good.
