Here is the deal. I got a 24 v minn kota power drive 65 lb that has a bad pedal and the steering servo is shot. Can I put the power drive motor on a 12 v minn kota all terrain. Will 24 volts be to much for the pedal/switchs ? Thanks.

Since we all love alum. boats here is my rig. The 12 volt 40 lb is not enough power.

Have you tried a local service center. I have one here that can answer any question I can dream up. Check minnkota web site they list all factory authorized repair facilities. good luck

I had a similar problem.
The difference might be big though;my PD was a 55lber 12 volt.
I went and bought a new Traxxis 12V and put the head unit on the old powerdrive.
To make it an easy fix the new trolling motor had to be a variable speed, NOT the 1-5 forward and 1-3 reverse. The second type would require alot more work as there are speed resistors in the motor end as well as a few other changes.;with variable speed just had to hook it up direct.
Sorry, can't help you with the difference in voltage.
