I took my boat out the other day and it was running flawlessly.

It did stall twice on me though.

Once I pumped the gas back up it ran fine.

I guess it got air in the line some how>?

What would cause this ?

HBK :D

Could be a couple of different problems:
Air in the lines, as you suspected. This could be caused by loose fittings or cracks in the fuel line.

Water in the carb bowl/fuel tank.

Clogged high speed jets in the carb.

I would say check over your fuel lines closely, if they are old & cracked, replace it and the bulb.
Also pull the bowl off the carb & check for water (pour contents into small cup & look for water in the bottom). If you have water, flush out your fuel tank, put in some Sea Foam and run it. May have to empty the bowl a couple of times before you get the water out of the lines.

If all this does not work, then a carb cleaning/rebuild may be in order.

Bad fuel line(s),fuel pump, or bulb.It doesn't take much to loose prime.Gas will not always leak out of a bad line or bulb. The fuel pump is sucking gas through the fuel lines. If there is a teeny tiny leak,it will suck air in and loose prime. If the tank is getting low on fuel, slosh and/or bouncing can cause air to enter through the tank pick up.

I had a similar problem with my 15HP merc a while back. It turned out to be a crack in the fuel line.
