I currently have a Lowe 1448M jon boat, and am hoping to get a bow mount trolling motor for it. In the near future I hope to frame and deck it, but as of right now I am in the process of finding a trolling motor and outboard. My question is, will the stock aluminum front deck on the Lowe 1448M be enough to mount a MotorGuide Pro Series 4300 on until I deck the front. I am going to look at the motor tommorow, and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with it. I have no problem fabricating a small mount out of plywood for in between the deck and trolling motor mount, just wanted to know what the clearance would be like (i.e. will it be high enough to make it over the top of the boat?).

Thanks in advance.
