Did you remove the deck paint / coating before applying the adhesive?

I cleaned the area and the pvc board with isopropyl alcohol. Sanded the bottom of the pvc board with 100 grit and the deck under the pvc board. Cleaned again with isopropyl

Weighed down the pvc board with anchors as the Lexel cured

Takes about 5 days for Lexel to fully cure in the summer

That PVC board isn’t going anywhere—Lexel, once cured, adheres just as well as PL 5200, but much easier to remove in the future. It’s much more manageable and friendly to work with compared to 5200. Paints over well also.

Further modifications

Closed cell foam flooring cut to size, enveloped tightly in reflectix, taped with aluminized HVAC tape, Lexeled to underside of lid

Weather stripping/window seal inner lip of cooler

More closed cell foam Lexeled to outside of cooler for hook/lure hanging/storage

Rod holders screwed into PVC board and Lexeled to outside of cooler
