If I use multiple trolling motor at the same time does each thrust add to the other?
In other word 50lbs+50lbs is going to push my jon boat as a 100 lbs?

Also note that each motor will create drag too. I say this if you ever happen to get passed by one 80 thrust motor in a similar boat.

I have a 12V 50 lbs and a 24V 80lbs. The little lakes in the area are Electric only nad I just want to be able to move fast around the lake with my 18ft jon boat. Electric outboard motor are expensive....
Does anybody have experience with them? I saw the most affordable is a Torqueedo 801 but I am not so sure it would give that extra "kick" I want, I fear that with my boat would be like having another trolling motor... (the Torqueedo cruise 2.0 is >$2000  )
