Need steering system help !

Anyone use a Teleflex Seastar Boat Steering System QC Rotary on a '57 Alumacraft Deep C? The dilemma is that the Dash Mounting Template requires 3 and 3/4" and the Bezel requires 5 and 1/8" . I'm limited with my dash size (see photos).
Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated!

Get a small sheet of aluminum and extend the dash a couple inches.

Or add a nice piece of Mahogany or other such nice wood to enlarge the mounting area. Think outside the box !!

Similar to the two previous suggestions, I was thinking rivet or bolt on a 3/16" or 1/4" thick aluminum plate shaped to accommodate your wheel components -- like the white shape below.

Absolutely! A nice dash with flush mounted gauges maybe even a flush mounted fishfinder/gps would look sweet on that boat.

If you were near VA, I could give you a small dashboard with gauges and all, that you could mount directly to that area, but others have given good advice.
